Introduction

In coordination with other Health Resources and Services Administration bureaus, the Office of Health Information Technology (OHIT) is coordinating its premiere event, Promoting HIT Adoption in the HRSA Community: Success Through Collaboration.

This grantee meeting will host approximately 500 attendees from HRSA bureaus that include health information technology as part of their grants. The purpose of the grantee meeting is to provide technical assistance and promote models of collaboration among grantees on how to adopt and implement health information technology. The meeting will also showcase innovative collaborations between HRSA's grantees; other Federal, state, and local partnerships; and public/private sector initiatives.

There is no registration fee to attend this meeting; however, participants are required to pay for their transportation and hotel. HRSA grantees may pay for transportation and hotel out of their grant funds if their grant specifically allows it. An initial invitee may invite one or two of their colleagues to attend this meeting. Please keep in mind, this meeting is limited to 500 attendees. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Once the 500 maximum is reached, registration will be closed. There will be a short waiting list created at that time. There is great interest in this meeting, so please register EARLY so that you do not miss out!

What You Will Gain:

  • The tools to advance your current and future HIT initiatives by collaborating and creating partnerships with fellow participants and other partners in the public and private sectors.
  • Comprehensive perspective on the HIT continuum with respect to readiness and the tools to measure improved outcomes as a result of HIT.
